Abstract
This paper delas with the theory of double-beam hyper-Raman spectroscopy and provides expressions for the radiant power of hyper-Raman emission as a function of polarization parameters. Selection rules are discussed, with particular reference to the vibronic spectrum of benzene, and a ‘magic-angle’ configuration is analysed. Keywords
