Abstract
As far as the tone decay test may be used to demonstrate the existence of pathological fatigue, it is possible to show that such fatigue may be present only in restricted frequency ranges. The topological anatomy of the eighth nerve seems to indicate in which fibers such pathological fatigue is most likely to occur. This conception is in good agreement with the positive findings of pathological tone decay in certain frequency ranges, together with normal conditions for other tones. Keywords
