Abstract
Vector coherent state theory for the O(5) group is used to obtain a general formula for the shell-model matrix elements of any isoscalar two-body interaction in a j-shell of neutrons and protons. Explicit results for arbitrary T, j and even n are given for states with seniority not exceeding four.Keywords
