Abstract
It is argued that vector gluons interacting with quarks produce logarithmic behavior of Regge trajectories at large momentum transfer, in agreement with proton-proton scattering data. It is found that , where is the gluonic charge of the quarks. Some suggestive relations between quark-gluon dynamics, duality, magnetic charge, and Jacobi's imaginary transformation are discussed.
