Abstract
The critical exponents for the deconfinement transition of SU(2) gauge theory in 2+1 dimensions are predicted by universality arguments to be the same as the critical exponents of the two-dimensional Ising model. Using finite-size scaling techniques, we calculate the critical coupling and critical exponents of the theory. Our results are in good accord with the universality prediction. Keywords
