Abstract
Blue sensitive photodetectors have been fabricated from thallium bromide (TlBr) crystals for scintillation detection. detectors consisting of 3 mm×4 mm TlBr photodetectors coupled to 2 mm×2 mm×4 mm long LSO scintillators have demonstrated energy resolutions of 34.5% and 25.5% full width at half maximum for 511 keV and 662 keV γ rays, respectively.
