Optical Properties of Cd3InGaS6

Abstract
The optical absorption and photoluminescence spectra of Cd3InGaS6 were measured. It was found that Cd3InGaS6 has a direct energy gap of 2.43 eV at room temperature. When excited with photons at 2.54 eV at low temperatures, an intense green emission at 2.38 eV and a red emission at 1.7 eV were observed. The time-resolved spectra indicate that the green emission at 2.38 eV is due to donor-to-acceptor transitions.
