Abstract
A case is presented to show that the radius of the tip of a propagating crack should not be calculated as indicated by Hull et al. (1965), and by Tetelman and Johnston (1965) without a prior derivation of the formulae they use. These formulae do not appear in the reference cited by these authors, and do not seem to be in keeping with the ideas presented in the reference. Keywords
