Inclusive correlations between photons and charged pions

Abstract
Theoretical predictions are presented for high-energy πcπc, πcγ, and γγ correlations, where πc is a charged pion. Photons are assumed to come from π0 decay. The predictions are based on the kinematics of this decay as well as the isospin constraints for ππ correlations. Apart from terms of order s12, the γγ rapidity correlation corrected for γ pairs from the same π0 is expected to be well approximated by twice the πcπc correlation minus the πcγ correlation. Explicit calculations are presented for the central region. Generalizations to higher correlations and other processes are discussed.
