Abstract
Prolate‐spheroidal expansions of the spin‐orbit, spin‐spin, and orbit‐orbit operators are derived. These expansions are analogs of the Neumann expansion for 1/r12 and can be used to study the corresponding exchange interactions in diatomic molecules. Keywords
