Abstract
We present a clinical and radiological retrospective study of 30 patients (51 feet) with valgus deformity of the feet who had three different types of subtalar extraarticular and intraarticular arthrodesis. Children with cerebral palsy, myelominingocele, and agenesis of the corpus callosum associated with progressive polyneuropathy were studied. The results were considered excellent and satisfactory in 73% of the feet. The combined Grice-Green-Batchelor procedure gave the best results, with 84% excellent and satisfactory results, with bony union in 96% of the feet. Weight-bearing films of the ankles in the anteroposterior plane are essential to determine the true extent of the deformity before operation. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
