Abstract
We present transport measurements on surface superlattices fabricated on a GaAs/AlGaAs two-dimensional electron gas. Significant suppression of the conductance is found with increasing electric fields and with increasing temperature . We attribute these effects to scattering, which can significantly affect the resistance in the presence of a spatially modulated static potential.
