High efficiency 3-J mercury bromide discharge laser

Abstract
Operation of a large volume x-ray preionized avalanche discharge mercury bromide laser is reported. Output energies in excess of 3 J have been obtained; the best efficiency is 2.1% at an output energy of 2.2 J.Keywords
