Abstract
An efficient method for obtaining the off-diagonal Green function matrix elements for a band secular matrix is presented. This enables one to study localisation phenomena in systems like polymers or random mass chains. Calculations are presented for some model systems and the results are related to some eigenstates obtained by inverse interaction. Keywords
