Abstract
Summary: Newborn rabbits responded with immunity when given bovine serum albumin plus macrophages obtained from adult rabbits. A deficiency in the macrophage activity of newborn animals is postulated to explain why these animals normally do not respond with immunity, but instead are rendered tolerant.Keywords
