Abstract
We have theoretically shown for the first time that the multi spin density wave (MSDW) state is the most stable among other spin density wave states in γ-FeMn alloys. Use is made of an extended two-band model to describe various spin density wave states. Furthermore we study theoretically the spin fluctuation in the MSDW state near the Néel temperature. The present theory predicts the existence of three distinct spin fluctuations; spin wave mode, spin distortion mode and damping diffusion mode. The first two modes possess a phonon-like dispersion except for nonvanishing energy gap. Keywords
