Abstract
We discuss a novel laser scheme in which N three-level atoms maintain full cooperativity in a stationary regime. The intensity I of radiation is proportional to , the linewidth scales as 1/, and the output intensity fluctuations display up to 100% squeezing at low frequencies. The possibility of simultaneously slowing down phase diffusion and reducing intensity fluctuations makes this kind of laser an attractive goal to go for.
