Abstract
Precipitation occurs in solns. of egg-white or of purified egg-white inhibitor of influenza virus hemagglutination submitted to an electrical field. The gelatinous precipitate settles out cleanly and can be collected by low-speed centrifugation. A large part of the inhibitor is found in the precipitate, and the purification factor of partially purified prepns. may be increased by 50% or more. The results indicate appln. of the phenomenon to the final purification of the inhibitor. Keywords
