Immunofluorescence microscopy The “string of pearls” phenomenon—An immunofluorescent serological finding in patients screened for adverse drug reactions

Abstract
An immunofluorescent serological finding, the “string of pearls” effect, was seen in 61 patients who were taking a variety of drugs. In the majority of these patients, this sign was thought to represent an adverse response to a drug. Its detection may be helpful in monitoring the ill effect of drugs.
