Abstract
Two patients with systemic arterial hypertension due to ischemia of a solitary functioning kidney were presented. Both patients had stricture of the left renal artery. Additionally, one had the right renal artery completely occluded and the other underwent a right nephrectomy 5 years previously. After reconstructive vascular surgery, the blood pressure of both patients returned to normal and they had complete relief from their symptoms. Keywords
