Abstract
The rate for has been calculated in terms of the rate for , using current algebra and the hypothesis of a partially conserved axial-vector current. The results agree with a previous calculation by Singer based on a vector-meson dominance model. The rate for bremsstrahlung emission was found to be smaller than the direct decay rate, but not negligible.
