Abstract
The complex dielectric constants ε* = ε' - iε'' along the c-axis of SbSI single crystals have been investigated between 275 and 320 K and the frequency range from 3 up to 80 GHz (0.1-2.6 cm-1). New results concerning the dielectric dispersion have been obtained. The central mode depending on temperature as vcm = 5.3 (T — T0)1/2 has been found at about 20 GHz in the paraelectric region. The width of the central mode corresponds to 16 GHz at the Curie point. The contribution of this mode to the static dielectric constant is about 30,000 and explains nearly its whole temperature dependence. Keywords
