Abstract
Analysis of the ratios of nuclear to hadronic transverse-energy spectra and of central particle production vs numbers of participant nucleons shows that models of low- particle production not incorporating "energy conservation" provide good fits to the data at low or low but disagree strongly with the data at large and large , where the measurements are sensitive to large numbers of successive scatters.
