Abstract
We analyze the angular distributions and polarization that are expected for Drell-Yan or annihilation into boson pairs such as and . A helicity rule is formulated in renormalizable theories for massive-boson bremsstrahlung by a lepton or quark, relating the handedness of the boson to that of the fermion. The polarization for single-boson production in various reactions is also compared to this rule. A covariant polarization basis is introduced in conjunction with the radiation representation for production.
