Abstract
Complete rupture of the female urethra is rare. We found only 30 such cases described in the literature, 19 of which were in children. In most of these patients, the proximal urethra and bladder neck were injured. Herein we report on the complete rupture of the distal part of the urethra in a female child with a pelvic fracture. This diagnosis should be considered in such cases with deep vaginal lacerations, inability to void, and with unsuccessful catheterization. Keywords
