Abstract
Presentation of CaseA 17-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital after sudden collapse with ventricular fibrillation.She was in excellent health until about four weeks earlier, when coryza developed, and she used phenylpropanolamine hydrochloride and chlorpheniramine maleate for relief of symptoms.Nineteen days before entry, while she was playing a vigorous game of ice hockey, the patient abruptly collapsed face down on the ice, and seizure activity was observed. A bystander promptly administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation of unknown duration and effectiveness.
