Abstract
S. s. is an omniverous feeder generally distributed in the U. S. except in the extreme SW. Occasionally, it destroys cranberry buds, leaves and fruit. There are 2 generations a year and hibernation occurs as a small larva. Submergence is not effective as a control measure. Arsenate of lead, 2 lbs. to 50 gals., sprayed June 2-6 was the most satisfactory remedy found. 8 parasites are listed. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
