Abstract
Existing empirical data has been employed to produce a dimensionally consistent penetration correlation for diesel fuel sprays. It is shown that the result is capable of physical interpretation and may be employed in penetration models which allow for effects not included in the experiments from which the data were gathered. The interpretation leads to suggestions for the type of result required from further penetration experiments. Keywords
