Abstract
Cross sections for excitation and single electron capture in collisions of He2+ with H(1s) were calculated in a travelling wave atomic orbital, impact parameter model. Previous calculations utilized either seven or eight state expansions, and unfortunately the eight state calculations contained an error. In this paper, the eight state calculations are corrected and in addition, 11 state results are also presented. The theory is compared with new data, and while the theoretical cross section for total exchange is in moderate agreement with experiment, the cross section for electron capture into the 2s state of He+ shows a large divergence between theory and experiment. Keywords
