Abstract
Apoptosis is a form of cell death which occurs in normal as well as in pathological tissues. We provide a description of the morphological changes during apoptosis and an overview of the role of apoptosis dysregulation in the pathogenesis of non‐neoplastic liver diseases.Keywords
