Abstract
The vinylcoumaranone (V) formed when isoderritol isoflavone (I) reacts with dimethylsulphoxonium methylide (1 mol) is isomerised by pyridine to isorotenone (X): the new rotenoid synthesis has similarities to the biosynthetic route.Keywords
