Abstract
The electrochemical behavior of a wide series of CuN2S2 complexes is examined. The stereodynamic copper(II)/copper(I) redox change is by far the most important one in this type of derivative, which in many cases constitutes a valid model for blue copper proteins. Both the thermodynamic and kinetic aspects of the electrode processes are correlated to the stereochemical reorganizations accompanying the redox changes, as well as to the electronic effects of the ligands.
