Abstract
The weight loss behavior of Type 304L stainless steel in liquid lithium of high nitrogen concentrations was determined and empirical weight loss expressions as a function of temperature and nitrogen concentration were found. The nitrogen concentration was found not to alter the thermally activated mechanism, but to influence the weight loss rate through a pre-exponential factor. Keywords
