Abstract
Serum concentrations of vit. B12 in acute leukemia were studied using Euglena gracilis as test organism. The mean concentration in 11 cases of acute lymphatic leukemia was 270 [mu][mu]g./ml. the mean concentration in acute myelocytic leukemia was 2760 [mu][mu]g./ml., or approximately 13 times the mean for normal sera. Acute monocytic leukemia had a mean serum vit. B12 concentration of 650 [mu][mu]g./ml. This blood level is not related to the total leukocyte count. The significance of these findings is discussed. Keywords
