Abstract
The appendices epiploicae are fat-laden pouches of visceral peritoneum on the wall of the large bowel. Rarely they may be found on the vermiform appendix. Torsion or inflammation of the appendices epiploicae, although known to surgeons as a mimic of appendicitis or diverticulitis, is rarely diagnosed pre-operatively. To our knowledge, this is the first report of the radiological appearances of this condition. Keywords
