An Oviposition Medium for the Mexican Fruit Fly1

Abstract
The medium is a dome-like, orange colored hollow hemisphere made of paraffin, petrolatum, coloring matter and cheesecloth. The fly punctures the dome, as if it were a fruit, and deposits its eggs on the inside surface where the eggs can be conveniently brushed or washed out.
