Abstract
Coulomb-gas-scaling ideas are invoked as a link between the superfluid density of two-dimensional films and the XY model; the Coulomb-gas-scaling function ε(X) is extracted from experiments and is compared with Monte Carlo simulations of the XY model. The agreement is found to be excellent.
