Abstract
Based on data from 626 employees of a multiproduct food processing plant, this study analyzes the relationships among three communication climate variables, three demographic variables, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. The results of the study support the propositions that (1) communication climate variables are related to Job satisfaction, (2) communication climate variables are related to organizational commitment, (3) job-satisfaction is related to organizational commitment, and (4) Job satisfaction and organizational commitment are separate dimensions of employee attitudes--not causally related to one another, but with common antecedents. Keywords
