Abstract
Barium oxide, in the form of a sprayed coating on a nickel base, was investigated by means of studies of photoconductivity, photoemission, and absorption measurements and the variation of these with temperature. Changes occurring during activation of the oxide were observed. The results are discussed in terms of an energy level structure for barium oxide. Keywords
