7388 Dynamic characteristics of three adjacent reinforced concrete buildings The small amplitude steady vibration testingof three adjacent reinforced concrete state multistoreybuildingsisdescribed.Thedynamiccharacteristics of the structures tested were predicted theoretically and the validity of the assumptions made in the idealization of the structures isexaminedby a comparison of the experimentally determined and predicted normal mode properties. A total of 17 normal modes of vibration of a complex of three adjoining, effectively eight-storey, reinforced concrete buildings were excited, four of the modes involving theinteraction of all three buildings.
