Abstract
A technique for insecticidal treatment of wheat seed with systemic toxicants was developed during the summer of 1954, in connection with studies on the chemical control of the wheat curl mite, Aceria tulipae (K.) on young wheat plants. The process concerns translocation of the toxic materials through the plant system. Although these studies are not completed, it appears advisable to outline this technique at this time, together with a brief summary of results, because of its possible early use by other investigators on seed treatment studies involving systemic toxicants.
