Abstract
The introduction of ethanol into a biological system affects its functions in two ways: the first is the effect of ethanol on excitable membranes and the second is the effect of ethanol metabolism on the intermediary metabolism of the system. Both of these primary effects are described in other chapters of this book. Keywords
