Abstract
The present study investigated the effects of leader gender and subordinate gender on the manner in which leaders respond to poor performance by subordinates. Analyses revealed that the gender of the leader exerted a major influence on corrective actions. Implications of the results for leadership research and managerial practice and training are discussed.Keywords
