Abstract
ALTHOUGH isoniazid (INH) is thought to be a rare cause of jaundice its precise role is unclear. The patients in most cases reported have also been receiving another antituberculous drug such as para-aminosalicylic acid (PAS), which is a well known potential hepatotoxin.1 We recently studied a patient in whom hepatitis developed shortly after he began taking INH for a recent tuberculin skin-test (PPD) conversion.
