Abstract
We point out that three is a non-negligible electromagnetic contribution to the projectile-fragmentation regime in inelastic nucleon-air collisions at cosmic-ray energies. This must be subtracted before conclusions can be drawn concerning the hypothesis of limiting fragmentation in hadronic (nucleon-nucleon) collisions. Keywords
