Abstract
The relatives of a patient who succumbed to malignant hyperpyrexia were examined clinically and biochemically. Special precautions at every stage were necessary to ensure reliable information from blood specimens. Three individuals at risk were identified, consistent with autosomal dominant inheritance of variable penetrance and expressivity.
