Abstract
B-mode ultrasonic guidance was used to perform 76 percutaneous renal biopsies. Renal tissue was obtained from 73 (96.1%) subjects with adequate tissue for interpretation or diagnosis in 72 instances. Major bleeding complications occurred in 4 (5.3%) patients. Ultrasound apparently was a safe and effective means of guiding physicians performing renal biopsies. It had many advantages over other techniques. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
