Abstract
VERTEBROBASILAR ischemic stroke accounts for about 20% of all ischemic strokes.1 An unfavorable outcome (major or fatal stroke) is found in as many as 60% of patients.2 In cases of basilar artery occlusion, mortality can be as high as 90%.3 Despite its poor prognosis, the optimal therapy of vertebrobasilar ischemic stroke remains undetermined.4Keywords
