Abstract
Because of decreased sensitivity of the gonococcus to penicillin, complete resistance of some strains to streptomycin and the increasing number of persons allergic to penicillin, alternative drugs are needed in gonorrhea treatment. A new injectable antibiotic, Trobicin (Actinospectacin), was well tolerated and is a suitable alternative to penicillin or streptomycin. Keywords
