Abstract
The response of a patient with pheochromocytoma to 3 identical anesthetic inductions are reported. The 1st was performed prior to diagnosis, the 2nd after treatment with .alpha.-methyl-p-tyrosine and the 3rd after resection of the tumor. A patient with undiagnosed pheochromocytoma had an episode of severe hypertension after administration of droperidol. This response to droperidol was modified, but not eliminated, by pretreatment with .alpha.-methyl-p-tyrosine.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
